Wisconsin Corn welcomes new Communications and Program Manager

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Corn is pleased to introduce Brenda Damrow Gudex as the organization’s Communications and Program Manager. In her role with Wisconsin Corn, Damrow Gudex will be responsible for all activities related to cultivating and implementing communication, public relations, membership, and market development strategies and programs. Her role’s responsibilities include: managing in-state promotion efforts; website, newsletter, and social media coordination; coordinating the annual Corn Yield Contest; and managing the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association’s CORN PAC program and activities.

Damrow Gudex, a native of Juneau, previously served as the Executive Secretary for the American Milking Shorthorn Society, where she was responsible for managing the organization’s office, programming, promotion, and member relations.

“Brenda has a strong background in member and board relations, as well as program support,” says Nicole Wagner, executive director. “We are excited to have her as a member of our team and look forward to working with her to grow the impact of both the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association and Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board.”

Prior to her work with the American Milking Shorthorn Society, Damrow Gudex served as the Director of Agricultural Programs for the Fond du Lac Chamber of Commerce. Damrow Gudex, who began her duties on January 17, will work remotely from her home in Oakfield, where she lives with her daughters, Madison, MacKenzie and Macyn.

Damrow Gudex replaces outgoing Communications Director Sara Schoenborn. Schoenborn has served as a shared employee from the Wisconsin Agri-Business Association (WABA) for the last four years and will be returning to full-time duties with WABA in April.
