Corn•Soy Expo Delivers Another Good Couple Days for Wisconsin Growers
From Wisconsin Corn

If you made it to the Wisconsin Corn•Soy Expo this year, you already know — it was a good couple of days to be inside talking farming while winter did its thing outside.

Once again, the Expo showed why it’s become one of the go-to winter meetings for Wisconsin farmers. More than 1,200 folks came through the doors in Wisconsin Dells, and you could feel the energy right away. The hallways, meeting rooms, and trade show floor were full of growers catching up, asking questions, and swapping ideas.

With a strong group on hand from the National Corn Growers Association along with other national ag partners, the Expo had a bigger-stage feel this year. Having national corn leadership in the room added perspective and brought a few “Commodity Classic–type” conversations right here to Wisconsin. For growers, that meant hearing what’s happening beyond our state while still keeping the focus on what works at home.

The sessions covered a little bit of everything that’s on farmers’ minds right now — markets, inputs, crop protection, sustainability, renewable fuels, precision ag, and new uses for corn. The rooms stayed full, which tells you growers are paying attention and planning ahead.

The trade show was just as busy, with more than 120 exhibitors. For a lot of farmers, that one-on-one time with companies and partners is where the real learning happens. You can ask direct questions, see what’s new, and figure out what might pencil out on your own farm.

And let’s be honest — some of the best parts happen outside the sessions. The conversations in the hallway, over a meal, or during the evening events are where farmers really get into what’s working, what’s not, and what to watch next.

Paul Jarvis, Wisconsin corn grower and President of the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association, put it this way:

“The Corn•Soy Expo packs a lot into two days,” Jarvis said. “You pick up good information, but the biggest value is farmers talking to farmers. When growers share experiences, we all learn something. That’s what keeps Wisconsin corn moving forward.”

He added, “We’re proud of how many Wisconsin farmers show up and take part. That says a lot about our farm community.”

Bottom line — this Expo isn’t just another meeting. It’s one of those events that helps keep farmers connected, informed, and thinking ahead for the next season.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, exhibited, or helped organize. It only works because growers show up and take part.

We’re already looking ahead to next year and hope to see you there.
