Wisconsin Corn Growers Endorse Candidates

Madison, Wisconsin – The Wisconsin Corn Growers Association (WCGA) this week endorsed candidates in several Wisconsin political races.

These candidates have all backed policies that support Wisconsin’s number one crop and the producers who grow it, explained Casey Kelleher, President of WCGA.

“We are pleased to be able to offer our endorsement for this bipartisan group of legislators and candidates,” said Kelleher. “These are all folks who genuinely understand the issues facing rural Wisconsin and our members.”

The endorsements start with United States Congress where WCGA endorses Congressman Sean Duffy of Wisconsin’s 7th District.

In the State Senate, WCGA endorses Senator Luther Olsen (R- Ripon) and Senator Sheila Harsdorf (R-River Falls). Both are long time incumbents with agricultural backgrounds.

In State Assembly races, WCGA is endorsing Rep. Joan Ballweg (R-Markesan), Rep. Ed Brooks (R-Reedsburg), Rep. Lee Nerison (R-Westby), Rep. Keith Ripp (R-Lodi), Rep. Gary Tauchen (R-Bonduel), Rep. Travis Tranel (R-Cuba City), and candidate Rob Stafsholt (R-New Richmond). Each of these individuals has an extensive agricultural background.

In addition, WCGA is endorsing the following candidates for State Assembly who may not have a farm background, but have proven to support rural issues: Rep. Chris Danou (D-Trempealeau), Rep. James Edming (R-Glen Flora), Rep. Adam Jarchow (R-Balsam Lake), Rep. Scott Krug (R-Wisconsin Rapids), Rep. Amy Loundenbeck (R-Clinton), Rep. Todd Novak (R-Dodgeville), Rep.
