Wisconsin Corn Groups Respond to Didion Milling Explosion

Lisbon, Wisconsin – The village of Cambria experienced an unimaginable tragedy overnight following an explosion at Didion Milling. While much remains unknown about the disaster, Columbia County officials have reported that one person was killed, 11 were injured, and two are still unaccounted for. The explosion occurred around 11 pm last night in Didion’s milling plant, which officials report has experienced extensive damage.

The Wisconsin Corn Growers Association and the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board are devastated at this news. Didion is an important part of the Wisconsin Corn family and Wisconsin’s agriculture industry. This community is extremely close-knit and this unimaginable tragedy has left us heartbroken. Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected by the explosion.
